”As a woman, Islam tells me. I’m not here on display and
my body is not for public consumption
I’m not to allow anyone to reduce me to an object
I am a soul, a mind, a servant of GOD
I don’t worship beauty standards, and I don’t submit to fashion sense
My submission…
A friend cannot be considered a friend until he is tested in 3 occasions: In time of need, behind your back, & after your death (Ali RA).
Just because you do not see a person complain about their problems, it does not mean their lives are problem free. Remember the statment of Yusuf’s father, Yaqoob (AS): “I complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, for I know of Allah that which you know not.” May Allah grant us such beautiful patience and restraint. Ameen.
